Hippocrates is often quoted as saying, "Let your food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food." And while herbs and nutritional supplements can be helpful, they should supplement, not supplant, a healthy diet. When recommending supplements to help a person with their health problems, supplements that are built around nutritionally dense foods can be major supports in improving the client's overall health.
