She has had tremendous success in helping her clients reduce or replace their over the counter and prescription drugs with natural remedies. Mary Helen is a licensed acupuncturist and is Nationally Board certified in Oriental Medicine, Chinese Herbology and Acupuncture. In practice since 1991, she has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and is certified as a Western Herbalist, Aromatherapist and Reiki Master Teacher. Professional memberships include the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and the American Herbalist Guild.

Mary Helen's clinic, Green Medicine Acupuncture and Apothecary, is a holistic healing center that focuses on treating the whole person – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. First time clients receive a thorough medical history and advice on holistic healing for all of their health concerns. Chronic health issues, often not understood in modern medicine, can be diagnosed and treated effectively through Chinese medicine. She educates and empowers people to take charge of their own health through lifestyle, nutrition, detoxing, herbs, and acupuncture.

Mary Helen's unique apothecary includes over 150 herbal tinctures handmade from organic and wildcrafted Chinese, Western, and Ayurvedic herbs, extracted with organic cane alcohol. She has created over 90 formulas, and custom blends for individual needs. She also carries high quality nutritional supplements, essential oils, flower essences, and homeopathic remedies.
