Every time your body is injured, it responds to the damage with inflammation. It doesn’t matter how the injury happened, whether it got cut, punctured, twisted, banged, smashed, scraped, burned, frozen, infected or poisoned, the response is the same. This means that all disease begins with an inflammatory process, which must be reversed before healing can take place.
Acute inflammation is not a bad thing, in fact, it performs useful functions in protecting the body from further damage. However, when inflammation fails to reverse, it turns into chronic inflammation, a process that does cause serious damage to the organs and tissues of the body.
Chronic inflammation is the underlying factor in the development of most, if not all, chronic and degenerative diseases. It is the real cause of cardiovascular disease, the issue in arthritis and other problems involving chronic muscle and joint pain and the cause of brain damage in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other neurological disorders. Chronic inflammation also creates the biological terrain that triggers cells to become cancerous.
Understanding why inflammation fails to reverse and healing fails to take place is the key to understanding disease in general, and what can be done to reverse it. In this webinar, we’ll explore the inflammatory process, the healing process, the factors that inhibit the healing process and what we can do to reverse chronic inflammation and begin the healing process.
